Two chairs.
No waiting room.

Bcuttery is a private two-chair studio in Simi Valley. One client per chair, booked in advance, finished on schedule. Low light, loud speakers, sharp edges.

01 — The barbers
Brian Torres, master barber and owner of Bcuttery. Brian Torres in the studio beside the barber chair.

Brian Torres

Master barber — 10+ years in the chair

Owner of Bcuttery and the reason most people book it. Clipper and scissor cuts, styling, beard work, color and full hair systems — every hair type, from tight skin fades to long scissor work that has to survive being air-dried.

Bring a photo or bring nothing. The consult happens before the cape goes on, and if what you are asking for will not hold on your hair, you will hear it before the first pass instead of after the last one.

    The cut

One client per chair. Clipper, scissor, razor and hot towel, checked in the mirror as it goes.

  4. 04

    Finish & rebook

Product, a styling walkthrough you can repeat at home, and your next slot on the way out.

03 — What to expect

Before you sit

Come with clean hair or dirty?

Either works. Scissor cuts are done dry so the hair falls the way it actually falls, which means day-old hair is often easier to read than freshly washed hair. Everything gets a wash and finish at the end regardless.

How long should I wait between cuts?

A skin fade holds sharp for about two weeks and looks fine for three. A scissor cut or a longer taper goes four to six. Beard line-ups sit comfortably in between, which is why the $30 line-up exists.

Can I bring my kid to my appointment?

Yes. It is a small studio, not a busy shop floor. If the kid also needs a cut, book it as a separate slot so there is time for both.

I have never had a hair system. Where do I start?

With a consult, not a booking. Text a photo to (805) 304-7516 and Brian will talk through density, base type, attachment and what the upkeep actually costs per month before you commit to anything.
